Playboi Carti recently sat down for a lengthy interview with XXL Mag, covering various topics. However, one of the rapper’s comments about his “gay and trans friends” is what has confused fans.
The 25-year-old showed love to baby mama Iggy Azalea, Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert and many others during the interview.
He also talked about his upcoming album, Music.

Playboi Carti’s interview line about “gay and trans friends”
The XXL interview gave fans an insight into the rapper’s life and how it’s going right now.
However, his answer to one of the interview questions has left fans wondering what exactly he meant by his comment.
The interviewer asked the rapper about his style and music transformation since the release of his 2017 song Magnolia.
When asked whether he has gotten comfortable with the fashionable and facepaint-wearing side of him, the rapper answered: “I wouldn’t give a f**k because it’s like, I love everybody.”
He goes on to say: “I don’t judge anybody. I have gay friends. I have trans friends, you know what I’m saying? I done dated…”
While it was lovely seeing the star show love to his friends from the LGBTQ+ community, many fans could not comprehend what he meant by “done dated.”
Given the interviewer didn’t push the rapper further with questions on the subject, fans have turned to social media to discuss among themselves.
HITC has reached out to Carti for a comment. But, at the time of the publishment of this article, is yet to receive a response.

Carti saying ‘done dated’ really has left fans confused. Many are wondering if the rapper meant he was romantically involved with someone from the LGBTQ+ community, and if so, who?!
One fan wrote: “Damn, dated who? Would be cool to see a high profile rapper like Carti talk about having dated trans women, or even men tbh. But I guess that wasn’t in the cards for this interview.”

Talking about what he is most excited about right now, the 25-year-old said: “My son. His birthday is coming up in three weeks. I got him a crazy chain too. He’s going to be a problem.”
The rapper then praised the Australian songstress and his baby mama Iggy, calling her the ‘a great mom.’
“I love her to death. I’m single. She’s single now. But that’s one of the best mothers in the world. And that’s what you got to put in the book, you hear me? I love her to death. She is the best mother in the world,’ the rapper reiterated.
Showing love to Kanye, the rapper called him a ‘big brother,’ when the interviewer asked about his relationship with the Donda rapper.
